A’Saffa Foods is Gold Sponsor of Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries’ Food Investment Forum 2019

"الصفاء للأغذية" الراعي الذهبي لملتقى الاستثمار الزراعي والسمكي والغذائي لعام 2019 

In supporting the Government’s endeavor to further expand its partnership with the private sector - A’Saffa Foods, the Sultanate’s largest integrated poultry, snacks and allied food producer, was pleased to be the Gold sponsor at the Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries’ Food Investment Forum that was held under the patronage of Sayyid Asaad bin Tariq al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for International Relations and Cooperation Affairs and Personal Representative of His Majesty the Sultan, and Dr. Fuad Jafar Al Sajwani, Minister of Agriculture and Fisheries.

دعمًا لمساعي الحكومة لتوسيع شراكتها مع القطاع الخاص – نظمت مؤخراً  وزارة الزراعة والثروة السمكية وبرعاية ذهبية من الصفاء للأغذية، أكبر مشروع متكامل للدواجن والتصنيع الغذائي في السلطنة،  ملتقى الاستثمار الزراعي والسمكي والغذائي. وأقيم الملتقى في مركز عُمان للمؤتمرات والمعارض تحت رعاية صاحب السمو السيد أسعد بن طارق آل سعيد نائب رئيس الوزراء لشؤون العلاقات والتعاون الدولي والممثل الخاص لجلالة السلطان ومعالي الدكتور فؤاد بن جعفر الساجواني وزير الزراعة والثروة السمكية، و بحضور عدد من أصحاب السمو والمعالي والسعادة وكبار المسؤولين وممثلين عن القطاعين العام والخاص من المجال الزراعي.

Aiming to be one of the key drivers and frontrunners of economic growth and sustainability in the sultanate, A’Saffa Foods’ participation in the Forum was but natural, as it brought together key stakeholders from the agricultural and fisheries investment arena, from both the public and private sectors. Organized over a span of two days at the Oman Convention and Exhibition Centre, the Forum witnessed the participation of experts, researchers, investors, and partners who discussed investments supporting food security, as well as the optimization of promising investment opportunities at the Forum.

جاءت مشاركة الصفاء للأغذية في الملتقى تعبيراً عن سعيها الحثيث في تجسير العلاقة بين كافة المعنيين بالاستثمار الزراعي من القطاعين الحكومي والخاص والخبراء والباحثون والمهتمون والشركاء الاخرون لمناقشة واقع وآفاق الاستثمار الداعم للأمن الغذائي من خلال جلسات حوار لبلورة الفرص الاستثمارية الواعدة. 

Eng. Mohammed Suhail al Shanfari, CEO of A’Saffa Foods averred, “A’Saffa Foods is humbled to have supported the Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries’ progressive approach to defining and addressing sustainability challenges within the Sultanate’s agriculture, livestock and fisheries sector. The learnings from this Forum will go a long way in shaping the future of agriculture, livestock and fisheries – sustainably, responsibly, and efficiently. وفي ذات السياق أكد المهندس محمد بن سهيل الشنفري، الرئيس التنفيذي لشركة الصفاء للأغذية،  عن  سعي الشركة لتفعيل مشاركة القطاع الخاص في الاستثمارات الزراعية والسمكية وتعزيز دورها في التنمية المستدامة، وقال " إن الهدف  الذي نسعى  لتحقيقه من مشاركتنا  في ملتقى الاستثمار الزراعي والسمكي هو أن ندعم نهج وزارة الزراعة والثروة السمكية في تحديد ومعالجة تحديات الاستدامة في قطاع  الزراعة والتصنيع الغذائي في السلطنة. وكما نتطلع إلى تحقيق تأثيرات إيجابية للمجتمع والخارج  في السنوات القادمة."

He continued: “At A’Saffa Foods we are constantly looking for ways to innovate and build food security for the future. In keeping with this, we are always committed to collaborating with the right stakeholders to understand and prioritize food security and support tailored initiatives which create shared value for the Omani community, the planet and all stakeholders in the value chain.”

وتابع: "نحن في  شركة" الصفاء للأغذية "نبحث باستمرار عن طرق للابتكار وبناء الأمن الغذائي. ولهذا، نحن ملتزمون بالتعاون مع الجهات المحلية والدولية لخلق قيمة مشتركة للمجتمع العماني والدولي وتنمية الأمن الغذائي وترتيب أولوياته ودعم المبادرات التي تسهم في تطوير هذه المجال."

In their endeavour to foster and support food security, self-sufficiency and increased employment opportunities in the Sultanate, A’Saffa Foods’ Board of Directors has approved an expansion plan to raise chicken meat production capacity by 100 per cent. The total capital expenditure outlay of the expansion is RO 45 million. Following the expansion, the annual slaughtering capacity of birds will go up to 44 million, expanding the company's annual poultry meat production to a whopping 42,000 Metric Tonnes.

 وتماشياً مع توجهات السلطنة الحثيثة في مواصلة دعم الأمن الغذائي والاكتفاء الذاتي وزيادة فرص التوظيف بالسلطنة؛ فقد وافق مجلس الإدارة على خطة التوسعة لرفع سعة إنتاجية الدجاج إلى نسبة 100%، حيث سيُضاعف هذا المشروع الكفاءة الإنتاجية للصفاء من 22 مليون إلى 44 مليون دجاجة سنوياً؛ بحيث تصبح الطاقة الإجمالية للشركة نحو 42000 طن سنويا من لحوم الدواجن. وتبلغ قيمة النفقات الرأسمالية للخطة التوسعية نحو 45 مليون ريال عُماني.
